IMC408F1 is an Australian designed and manufactured self-assembled
racecar for the road. Its inspiration comes from Formula
1 and Champ Cars and represents racecar performance and looks
that can be registered for street use.
IMC SPORTS CARS personnel have a vast experience in the
construction, restoration and competition of dedicated racecars and
used state of the art 3D CAD and FEA in the design process.
The car has undergone extensive testing including torsion and
beaming, suspension components and even seat belt anchor
points.
The IMC408F1 is designed to accept the Toyota Lexus 4.0L & 4.3L
all alloy 32-valve quad cam V8 which in itself has a design basis of
modern grand prix engines.
The engine, fuel tank and radiators are mid mounted to give the
optimum weight distribution for road holding, acceleration and
braking and can only be described as stunning.
Fully adjustable rose jointed suspension with push rod actuation at
the front gives you that pinpoint handling and improved
aerodynamics.
We have gone to great lengths to give you that racecar feel, even
the seats are fixed directly to the chassis and the pedals and
steering wheel simply adjust to your needs.
The car is designed to be assembled by any competent builder. All
of the specialist areas of the kit have been carried out by the
factory, so the use of special tools is not required. IMC408F1 is
built to a high degree of precision using laser cut jigs and fixtures,
even the brackets used through out the car are laser cut to ensure
accuracy and repeatability.
You can purchase from us the standard kit and option it up with the
components you desire. A few donor parts are required and each
kit comes with a list of parts that you can readily purchase yourself.
A comprehensive build manual is supplied with each kit.
